Saturday Evening
Last Tank Standing
15mm, WWII
Rules: Fix Bayonets!
Bob Gallavan
Loosely based on the climactic battle of the German Kursk Offensive. A river to the right, a railroad embankment to the left. No room to maneuver, just a charge into the jaws of death. As the Russian, you are launching your counter-offensive. Can you duck under the long arms of the Tigers and Panthers to take them out at point blank range and savage the rapidly aging Panzer IVs? You've got a lot of tanks, but they are thin skinned and short ranged. As the Germans, can you keep the Russians at arms length and sweep the oncoming Red Tide aside, clearing a path for the final strike for Kursk? Not a scenario for those who prefer finesse or believe that if the game ends and they personally still have all the tanks they were given, they have won. Players will have to work together and some will have to give their all in order for their team to win

Bagration in Two Acts:
The Opening Salvo
15mm, WWII skirmish
Rules: G.I.
Joe Shaffer
To mark the third anniversary of their nation’s greatest disaster, the Soviets launched Operation Bagration. 1.7 million Russians in 118 divisions, 4,700 tanks, 2500 fighters, 2500 bombers—and the list goes on—stormed into Byelorussia. Standing against them were about 800,000 Germans in 52 divisions, 550 tanks, 40 fighters, and about 400 bombers. Within about 6 weeks the Germans had lost almost everything in Army Group Center and the Russians stood on the doorstep of Poland. In “The Opening Salvo”, the German 78th Sturm Division has been tasked with defending the Moscow-Minsk highway. They have been preparing defenses in depth for months, but how long can they hold against this storm?

The Last Train Out
15mm, WWII

Joe Shaffer
“The Last Train Out” depicts the brutal fighting between the Mark V’s and the Tigers of the 5th Panzer Division and the 11th Guards Tank Army north of Minsk on July 1-2. The swampy and wooded ground is hardly tank country, but this series of engagements marked the commitment of the first German armor reinforcements in Army Group Center. The Germans will once again fight the clock to keep the rail line out of Minsk open just a while longer.
